I follow the material, a form or an intuition and see where it leads. Here is a selection of pieces that have come from that process and are currently available. Some are in Bolivia, and other in Denmark.

COFFEE TABLE

Working with ash was a delight. Pale, almost white, and full of movement, it is a hard, resilient wood that responds beautifully as it is shaped. I followed its grain into this low, softly irregular coffee table, allowing the character of the timber to lead the form.

DINNING TABLE

Three wood species meet across the tabletop, each with its own tone and grain. Below, playful, angular legs in Tarara give the table a sculptural character. The wood comes from a tree that grew for 32 years at NuestraSelva before it fell. Together, the distinct materials make a table for everyday meals and longer evenings around it.
