A practice built through observation and making; shaped by landscape, people, old knowledge and the unexpected things that happen along the way. I believe every project already carries something within it. My work begins by listening for it.

What brought me here

Nature came first. Long before I understood design as a profession, I understood the world through trees, soil, weather, animals and things made by hand. Architecture came later, bringing new ways of looking at what was already there. ateliermadera grew from that intersection.

A practice of observing before intervening, working closely with materials, learning from old knowledge and allowing the unexpected to become part of the process.
